Pakistan cricket team captain and batsman Babar Azam equaled Indian player Virat Kohli's record while playing against Ireland.

Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, equaled Virat Kohli's record by scoring the most half-centuries in international T20 matches.

Babar Azam made this record while playing against Ireland, in the first T20 International played in Dublin, the captain played an innings of 57 runs, with which the Pakistani captain equaled the record of Virat Kohli of India and he is the most in T20 Internationals. He equaled Kohli in fifty plus scores.


 Indian player Virat Kohli scored 38 fifty plus in 109 T20 International innings while Babar Azam scored 38 fifty plus in 108 innings.

 Virat Kohli converted only one fifty out of 38 half-centuries into centuries while Babar Azam converted his half-centuries into centuries three times.

With this score, Babar Azam also completed a century of fifty-plus scores in overall T20s. Babar Azam is the fourth player to score 100 fifty-plus times in T20Is.
