The Pakistan Cricket Board is angry with Cricket Ireland for not issuing fast bowler Mohammad Amir's visa on time and has given a warning to the Irish Board.
Pakistan cricket team has reached Ireland under the leadership of Babar Azam for a three-match T20 series where they will play the first match tomorrow (Friday). However, due to non-issue of visa, senior fast bowler Muhammad Amir has not gone with the team, on which the Pakistan
Cricket Board has expressed extreme anger.
According to PCB sources, Mohammad Amir's visa was applied along with other members of the squad and the host cricket board is responsible for timely issuance of visas to all the members of the visiting squad.
Sources said that the PCB, while expressing its displeasure in this regard, has informed the Ireland Cricket Board about it and has also warned against the future of cricket relations.
Mohammad Amir has been ruled out of the first T20 match tomorrow due to visa failure and it is likely that the PCB will now send him directly to England where the four T20 series will be played.
The Pakistan Cricket Board was supposed to form a World Cup combination from the series performance of both countries, but Mohammad Amir not going to Ireland may cause loss in the mega event.
It should be noted that Mohammad Amir has also played a Test in Ireland in 2018.
