Before the T20 World Cup 2024, the team management decided to experiment in the first T20 match of the series against England.
According to media reports, before the start of the mega event, the national team will play the first T20 match against England on May 22, 3 changes are likely to be made in the playing XI.
Apart from fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, top-order batsman Usman Khan can be included in the lineup, while opener Saeem Ayub and Hasan Ali, who played the last match of the series against Ireland, are likely to be dropped.
Reports have said that with the drop of Saeem Ayub, the duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are likely to be seen opening once again while Fakhar Zaman will be fed in the middle order.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf injured while Usman Khan could not be a part of the playing XI against Ireland, he will be given a chance in England tour.
Similarly, the team management can also drop a fast bowler to replace Shadab Khan or Abrar Ahmed.
Pakistan will announce the World Cup squad on May 22 and this will be the last chance before the mega event for the Green Shirts to test their playing XI for the series against England.
A final decision will be made in consultation with head coach Gary Kirsten before the squad is announced.
